The Bear's Tooth

The sharp spire at center is the Bear’s Tooth and the namesake of various features in the area such as the Beartooth Mountains, Beartooth Highway, Beartooth Pleateau, Beartooth Lake, Beartooth Butte and the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. The spire is on a ridge of Beartooth Mountain.

This view is from a spot along the Beartooth Highway at an elevation of 10620 feet/3239 meters and about 9 miles in a direct line from the Bear’s Tooth.
